ConnectorIO Platform is complementary service for ConnectorIO® Cloud. It is serving a data storage layer and additional features unrelated to software and metadata model used by ConnectorIO® Agent.

Functionality
ConnectorIO Platform introduce concept of assets which can be used to categorize received data. The data points can be identified with certain characteristics.
The storage of data is not constrained by device disk. This means that you can connect multiple data sources, including external ones.
Support for unit of measurements
Each data point can be described using metadata as well as the expected unit for display and storage. The received data is then standardized to a specific storage unit, regardless of the display format. This means that when a meter or data source is replaced, the new data can be easily adapted to the previously used storage unit. Units supported by ConnectorIO Platform are based on SI-Units, so they are standardized and not limited to just power and energy.
Power Guard
Business consumers of energy are subject of additional fees and limits. One such constraint is “ordered power” which needs to be controlled. For Polish market the limit is verified in 15-minute cycle. For each time when limit is exceeded a penalty fee is calculated for entire hour (four times of maximum exceed). In order to avoid penalties an energy meter readouts needs to be integrated. Based on the readings of such a meter, it is possible to provide a dedicated view of the Power Guard and related alerts.
